20 years ago:
1. was three years old
2. shared a room with my sister danielle in our house in rio rancho, nm
3. went to pre-school @ early learning preschool...it was the bomb.com

10 years ago:
1. was an awkward 7th grader
2. had braces and a funny hairut
3. played volleyball

5 years ago:
1. visited new york city for the first time
2. met chris when i moved into liberty square
3. ran my first marathon

3 years ago:
1. got engaged
2. spent a week in mexico with my family
3. got a real gym membership

1 year ago:
1. found out we were going to the U medical school
2. graduated from BYU w/a degree in exercise science
3. went on an amazing mediterranean cruise

this year so far:
1. attended my sister's wedding
2. started a new budget
3. made an attempt to get more organized

yesterday:
1. worked at both jobs
2. cleaned the kitchen
3. watched BYU get beat by the U....again

today:
1. snoozed the alarm clock for 45 minutes!
2. ate a fettucine alfredo lean cuisine
3. went to a spin class at the gym

tomorrow:
1. work both jobs
2. am getting my blood drawn
3. post some awesome stuff on ebay and craig's list

1 year from now:
1. have a baby {cross your fingers, say your prayers!}
2. be a proud owner of a mac desktop
3. be able to take fabulous photos

i'm pretty much the best wife a guy could ask for....who else would get their husband jazz tickets for the night of their anniversary? just kidding. i love going to the jazz games especially when there's a dude with a cowbell and i get to enjoy myself a chicago all-star dog. {of course it helps when we win too!}

i got a new toy

chris has always told me that he is a bad gift giver and frankly, i'd have to agree with him about 90% of the time. so i was a little leary this year when chris told me he was gonna gift me one combo gift for my birthday, christmas and our anniversary {which all happen to be in december}. i love opening gifts, so i was at first bummed by the idea because i would only get to open one gift for three holidays and i was worried about what he could possibly get me...... alas, i agreed to the big present idea and waited fitfully until christmas morning came. imagine my surprise and sheer delight when i opened this little guy:

i was so excited i could hardly wait the 4 hours for the battery to charge. i've always love love loved photography, and taking pictures with a run of the mill point and shoot wasn't doing it for me when i knew i could be taking wonderful pictures. i've loved it so far and i'm hoping to take a photography class this summer {see my new year's resolution list}. at my sisters wedding the photographer told me i had good form {!} and he even offered to let me come and shoot a wedding with him {too bad i'm not living in ABQ at the moment}. i took like 500 pictures the weekend we were in ABQ for dani's wedding and i could spend hours tweaking and adjusting the pics on the computer, which is almost as fun as taking them.

bauer is back

after a season long hiatus {keifer sutherland spent last year in jail...}24 is back. the first half of the 4-hour season premiere was on last night. we're in for the next 12 mondays. hopefully jack can once again save the world from peril.

{new year}

i realize that i'm utterly and completely behind the times lately...hence i bring to you my belated new year's resolution list. growing up our lives were centered around goals. as a kid i absolutely hated coming up with goals each new year, school year, whatever; but now i find myself coming up with excuses for starting up new goals. my husband laughs at me since i sometimes don't follow through... but it's a new year and i'm taking a new approach to my goals.

1. read the BOM cover to cover {or at least from 1 nephi to moroni for you triple combination holders}


2. pray morning and night with the husband.


3. exercise at least 4 times per week {shocker i know, but i have fallen hard and fast off the band wagon and i'm taking baby steps to get back on}


4. drop a couple poundies {chris and i are habitual non-dieters... but we wanna get fit and trim i'm thinkin 2009 is the year!}


5. research/start up something i can market/sell


6. follow our monthly budget {i'm the budget queen. we're trying something new though, so we'll see}


7. take a photography class


8. travel somewhere fun with the husband


9. laugh more/serve more/care more/blog more


10. research estetician schooling....possibly enroll in a night course

back

finally getting settled after a lovely weekend at home in ABQ for dani & aaron's wedding. the ceremony was beautiful, the weather was perfect and the company was fabulous. congrats dani & aaron.
