amazing flick

it's very rare that i see a movie and love it enough to go out and purchase the film to keep and cherish forever. it's unheard of me to do this within 24 hours of seeing a movie...until now.  much to chris' protests, we rented slumdog millionaire from the redbox at the maverick on 3rd and 5th {they usually have the best selection}.  i've always had a strange fascination with all things indian.  and so the minute i heard about this movie i'd been trying to see it, subtly suggesting to chris that we see it.  let me just say this about the movie....awe inspiring.  the cinematography was beautiful, the music was good, the depiction of indian culture was pretty spot on {in my very white girl opinion}.  there were some occasional subtitles, {which are usually hard for me in movies} that were brightly colored and in untraditional spots on the screen.  the story causes one to look at their own life in a new light and appreciate whatever they have and to work harder for those things they ultimately desire.  amazing.  truly. go see it.

hello. it sure was great seeing you tonight. The frame was very cool! I've wanted to see this movie and now that I have your recommendation I'm going to go rent it. Maybe for my birthday tomorrow I'll lock myself in my room and watch it, while Jason watches the kids.

this movie has been sitting on our couch. we have had it for three days and haven't seen it, which means that we will have to re-rent it to watch it. i will definitely make more of an effort since i got your thumbs up!

we rented this a week or so ago from redbox and you'll be disappointed to hear that i fell asleep after the first 10 minutes. tannon said it got a LOT better after the 10 minutes that i saw, so i might have to give it another shot, since i've heard so many great things about it.
