snooze buttons

so i had high hopes of waking up at six this morning, i set my alarm for that time at least. but instead i rolled out of bed at 7:15. why is this, you might ask? it's because of the wonderful invention of the snooze button. i recently moved and now have my own room so the snooze is relatively new to me, since before when sharing a room, i snoozed fairly rarely. but i'm actually still trying to decide if it's a wonderful or terrible thing, but here is my reasoning anyway:

  1. the snooze keeps you from having to get out of bed
  2. allows you to not fully go back to sleep so you don't oversleep
  3. allows you to not fully wake up
  4. peaceful slumber keeps getting interrupted by the loud beeping noise every so often, like mine, the snooze on my phone lasts about 5 minutes
  5. it is an excuse to be lazy
  6. another mundane day is delayed, even if it is only 5 minutes
  7. you have to hear the scary sound of the alarm more than just once
  8. more sleep!!!
so that's pretty much the jist, you decide if the guy who invented snooze should be praised or drug out into the street and shot. as for me i'm still deciding, but until i do i will remain a faithful snooze button presser.

I vote drug out and shot. It's so much better for me when i just get up when my alarm goes off the first time. I really enjoy when I put my head back down on my pillow but then I think getting up 5 minutes later is that much harder. bad idea.

my alarm didn't even go off this morning, I'm not sure why. So I haven't showered yet. oh well, I think it will increase the odds that I'll go running when I get off work. I can't believe someone actually had a ding dong cake, you'll have to tell brandon about that
